Lamenting the weekend's end

Sigh. In about 9 hours I will have to be back at work and I am so not looking forward to it. Case of the Mondays or something. I don't freakin' know. I do know, that I would much rather work from home. Which begs the question, why don't more organizations allow people to work from home on a more regular basis? Seriously, with call forwarding, remote email, conference calls, live online chats, etc. there have GOT to be a limited number of situations that would necessitate a person having to be at their desk.

I would argue that it is sometimes more efficient to just let people work from home. There are less distractions and I could surely get a lot more done. Sometimes face-to-face meetings are important. Sometimes actual in person *live* communication is important. But seriously, as I think about it, on an average week I could perform almost half of my week's activities from home.

Anyway, today in stark contrast to yesterday, I did squat. My phone started ringing at 6:54AM because of work crap. So because of yesterday and today, there was really NO break, no extra sleep, nada. The Chargers pulled a win out of their asses, for which I am glad. There were a couple of occasions where we could've lost the game.

The rest of the day was pretty much chill. Akilah and I walked to the cafe for a late dinner and back. We went through the DVR and freed up some space - damn me and my incessant need to record things in HD.

8 hours, 53 minutes.

Sigh.
