Real World Encounter

Alright, it has been dog years since I have updated this and I have been doing stuff. Most of life has surrounding job and soul searching. The latter seems corny, but apropos to this process. To that end, I have been spending less time thinking about this web site and more time thinking about more important offline endeavors. I have also entertained the idea of shutting the Treehouse house down for an indeterminate period of time. Keeping this thing going does take some a fair degree of energy. Still, I do love the Treehouse.

::Listening to Paul Okenfold's, Xplode...diggin' it::

This past weekend was spent mainly reading. It felt good to touch paper and read black print again. If reading were addiction, I would need to go to meetings for it, because I honestly cant go without it for very long. I read a lot of sci-fi, philosophy, history and political stuff.

During my downtime, I came across the web sites off a few Real World and Road Rules cast members! That was perhaps one of the coolest things about the weekend. The sites for Colin (Real World Hawaii) and Melissa (Real World New Orleans) especially caught my eye. Mainly because they each had something meaningful, if not something funny as hell to say. Most of the other cast memberssEsites were platforms for their burgeoning acting/modeling careers or whatever other endeavors. Melissa is quite verbose and her writing style is exactly like how she spoke on the show. In addition to touching on massive fashion faux pas, she is a staunch feminist. Colin has very colourful uses of the word fuckE and it is a proponent of something called the new masculinityE I havent quite figured what he totally means by this, but thus far is a very interesting read.
