I have been without my computer for at least 3 days because my damned monitor
died on me earlier this week. The best I could have done was keep up with my
email - bleh! Thanks to a friend of mine, I'm back up and running! Wooohaaa!!!
So
today is Halloween
woohoo, I guess! All Hallow's Eve does very little for
me. Talked to Alana (bikini clad gal on my site) and she's according to her
she's, "Going to be a 'naughty' girl scout tonight. I hemmed my old uniform
from when I was a girl and am going to pass out condoms and sugar daddies out
of a thin mint box... lots o cleavage." Any questions? Haha! Last year
it was a Pimps and Hoes party with Alex as my ho
haha! Year before that
I think was going downtown with Chelsea and friends. Damn they looked good too.
Tonight I'll be rehearsing and I'm really looking forward to it! The last couple of nights, we've been clicking and taking things further each performance. Friday is opening night and I am nervous as hell! School is handing me my ass this quarter, but I'm not giving in.

A couple of rather remarkable things happened today. First, a customer needed
to talk to his wife to get "authorization" to buy some sheets and
needed to use the phone. Well, I've yet to make a personal call at work, so
I don't know how it's done and told him so. So I see him eyeing my cell and
I'm thinking
naw he's not gonna ask to use it. And he does! I let him do
it, because I fear he may be a secret shopper evaluating me. Today is the last
time I wear my cell on my belt at work.
The other remarkable thing was I called one of my friends, because I suspected that something was up. Low and behold it was. The reason why they were ticked at me I think is valid. At the same time I was incredibly disappointed, as I have known this person for over 12 years! Come on now! Your friend pisses you off and does something, you're gonna tell me that you're gonna wait and hold a grudge for 3 weeks!?!

I
ROCKED tonight in acting class!! Oh my ever loving goodness, I was pulling improv
material outta my ass like never before! Ok, that sounded really nasty, so let
me fill in the details. The improv part of class is like a real live Who's Line
Is it? Last night I was given a situation where I was an artist who meets a
woman in an alley. That is it. Everything else we make up on the fly. So I became
a sculptor of butter. It is said that comedy is one of the hardest forms and
it is! You can't tell a joke and expect to laugh or make someone laugh
you
just have to do it and be in the moment. One thing the exercise did teach me,
was it's not good to play it safe and stop
you have to run head long into
whatever you're doing and hope for the best. In the end, I offered to immortalize
my partner in butter, my other works were displayed at the Fleischmann exhibit,
etcetera, etcetera, etcetera
haha!
Afterwards me,
Tara and her boyfriend Traci all went to reggae night at Calypso. Ok, here's
a tip for people who have never been to the islands: dancing to reggaeand calypso
is NOT likedancing to house/trance/hip hop/pop. The closest parallel would be
meringue or salsa. The movements are mainly hip and ass. It's NOT like hopping
around doing that stupid trance dance with the glow sticks! And although the
beat may be hard to catch at first, just listen to either the bass line or the
drums and you'll be set. PLEASE STAY ON BEAT! Haha!

Today was mainly about chores; cleaning my room, laundry, et al. I wanted to
wash my car, but it was getting late and the sun was setting before I could.
The other dumb thing I did was, driving all the way to the bank, thinking I
left my ATM card at home, but then drove home and realized the damned thing
was in my check book after all - IN THE CAR! LOL!!
Afterwards, went over to John & Cami's ostensibly to swim a bit, but ended up going over lines for the play when Dave and Eydie showed up. That was dope I need to get off-book so I can really make the characters a part of me. One fun thing was Max and I ganged up on Mollie and tickled her for a long time! Haha! Even the THREAT of tickling makes her giggle! Haha! Also, that is Mollie in place of Alana's pic below. Check them out! Nice transition huh?

Did my time at which was actually really fun. I have to admit that I love selling
stuff to people. Helping them find what they need. However, it is the most direct
professional or financial path and I must do some adapting. Still I find my
days there, the most rewarding in some time.
After work, decided to pay Beth and the kids a visit. Joshua was in true form for about an hour. Then he settled down and all was right with the world! We were both feeling Thai so went and got some. I think we both needed to eat, cause after then the world was even better! Sammie and I chased each other through the house and I got a workout!!

I think on this site I have mentioned here and there that I am the antithesis
to having 'game'. That illusive and coveted skill of talking to women. Lunch
today with Cami shined a whole new light onto this internal discussion of mine.
According to Cami there are moments when it is there and demonstrated. It usually
comes out when I'm either around people I'm comfortable with, not thinking,
or when I'm dancing. The last 2 go hand in hand in hand. When I dance I rarely
think about anyone else, rather just enjoy the music and the moment.
This got me to thinking about stuff in the past and hell yea I DO have game! Whereas other people can have it on top at any moment, it occurs for me at certain points. Oddly enough, in my gut I know when it's there. It's when I start to think and force it do things start to get interesting. My mission now is getting into that mode at will.

Ok, this working weekends business and then getting 2 days off during the week
is kicking my ass. Today I slept in and missed class. Two things need to happen:
a) go to sleep earlier and/or b) find a normal job so I can have my weekends.
One of my habits is doing mass studying on the weekends. Working the weekends
totally knocks me on my ass, because I don't have the energy to come home after
9 or 10 hours to study. Other people do it, so I better get it together and
handle my business! The countdown is now 4 months and 30 days!!!
Which leads me to an interesting other tangent: the word "ass" as proliferated my vocabulary. I use it with impunity and sometimes in situations not totally appropriate, like among my younger friends! Cami has been calling me on it, and I noticed it before and I will be making a more concerted effort to back off of on cursing on a whole. I had to relearn to curse, believe it or not, for a scene I was doing in acting class. Now it's persisted and I'm having doosey of a time shaking it!
On that note, my
acting partner won't be doing the scene we started doing. It was a dope scene
too! However he English is his 2nd language and he was having issues with the
lines. That was a bummer to hear.
